PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Residential Services
The children and adults who receive residential services from New Beginnings Family Services have the opportunity to live in a home-like environment under the supervision of a program manager and live-in care counselors. The residences of NBFS are equipped to house four to eight participants. Staff is trained to promote and maintain a positive, healthy, safe and therapeutic living environment in which children and adults learn daily living skills, goal setting, and demonstrate positive changes throughout their stay. They will learn these skills through independent and/or group sessions, planned activities, and hands on trainings. This environment allows children and adults to:

Case Coordination And Management
Case Coordination and Management (CCM) helps families coordinate and organize service from various agencies. Case managers work with individuals and their families to organize and run the individual’s family team. CCM is also responsible for coordinating mental health services and addressing the physical, social, spiritual, and environmental needs of the resident.
Advocacy And Awareness Training
Parent Management Training (PMT)
PMT helps parents and families develop the special skills needed to successfully support and maintain their children or adult at home and in the community. These sessions equip parents with the tools they need when receiving community services. These sessions also help the parents learn how to advocate for their child’s or adult’s needs.
Case Manager Training (CMT)
CMT allows professionals the specialized training needed to continue developing special skills needed to successfully support and maintain their client at home and/or in the community. This training also creates awareness among professionals.The PMT and CMT training programs encourage the participants to advocate and participate in system-wide change.
